Useful information

Schools and events questions

A few helpful answers before requesting your proposal.

What ages do you work with?

Experiences can be adapted around the age, stage and needs of your pupils or audience. Tell us who will be attending and we will recommend an appropriate format.

Can you deliver several school sessions in one day?

Yes. We can plan several workshops across the same day, depending on class sizes, session length, room access and the school timetable.

Can activities be adapted for SEND children?

Yes. We aim to create welcoming experiences where children can participate at their own pace. Please share relevant needs with us during planning so we can discuss suitable adaptations.

Do you provide the equipment and materials?

Yes. We bring the agreed science equipment, experiment materials and protective equipment required for the booked experience.

How many children can take part?

Capacity depends on the chosen format, available space, staffing and timings. Workshops are structured for defined groups, while shows and discovery zones can support larger audiences.

How much space do you need?

Space requirements vary between classroom workshops, science shows and open discovery zones. We will confirm table, floor, access and audience requirements as part of your proposal.

Do you travel outside Portsmouth?

Yes. We travel across Hampshire and can consider bookings further afield. Travel time, mileage and any additional staffing requirements will be reflected in the quotation.

How are prices calculated?

Quotes are based on the format, duration, audience size, staffing, equipment, travel and complexity of the experience. This allows us to provide a proposal suited to your actual event.

Can you create something bespoke?

Yes. We can combine workshops, demonstrations and drop-in activities or develop a proposal around a theme, audience or event objective.
